Thirty organizations will share in a $4 million federal grant to help Minnesotans find health insurance coverage on the new online marketplace, MNsure announced Friday.
More than 100 groups applied for the money to hire staff or buy equipment to reach out to Minnesotans who lack health insurance. While the groups will enroll consumers in any coverage from Medicaid to commercial plans, the grants are geared toward hard-to-reach populations and people with low incomes.
The funding is intended to help social service organizations purchase equipment and hire staff so they can provide assistance to an influx of new clients.
