Comedian and actor Billy Crystal is bringing his Tony Award-winning one-man show to Minneapolis. "700 Sundays" will play at the State Theatre next Tuesday through Saturday.
In the show, Crystal tells funny and often poignant stories about growing up just outside New York City in the 1950s and '60s. One subject that gets a lot of attention is Dixieland jazz.
Crystal's family played an important role in the New York City jazz scene and he grew up in that world. Morning Edition Producer Jim Bickal talked to Crystal about his one-man show and his family's connection with jazz. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
