Second District Republican Rep. John Kline is the latest member of Minnesota's congressional delegation to call for the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki.
Shinseki has come under criticism as more information emerges about lengthy wait times at VA hospitals in Arizona that have been tied to the deaths of several veterans.
So far, there's no indication of similar problems at Minnesota VA facilities, but the department needs a shakeup, Kline said.
"The president and others have said that somebody has to be held accountable," Kline said Wednesday. "I think we have to dig to the bottom of it but when you say you're going to hold somebody accountable, you need to start holding somebody accountable."
Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann and Democratic Rep. Rick Nolan have also said Shinseki needs to go.
DFL Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken have asked the head of Minnesota's VA network for more information on wait times for veterans here.
