There's been some talk about summer coming to an end, but there's still time to get out there and enjoy it this weekend. The forecast even looks like it's cooperating with a little sun and temperatures in the low 80s through Sunday.

Ongoing construction is another sign the summer hasn't ended. A main stretch of I-35W will be closed this weekend.

1. Take a baseball road trip

For most baseball fans, the joy of seeing the game in person can very easily morph into a desire to see as many games as possible in as many different places.

Sports and travel writer Timothy Mullin talked to The Daily Circuit about his favorite fields and offered some tips for planning a baseball road trip.

2. Catch up on coming of age movies

After watching Richard Linklater's movie "Boyhood," Lily Percy was inspired to dive into the world of films that depict coming of age.

The "On Being" senior producer shared her picks, including "The Sandlot" and "Stand by Me" with The Daily Circuit.

3. See a 'Chekhov-flavored treat' at the Guthrie

MPR's Eric Ringham writes:

In the second act of "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," the Christopher Durang comedy that opened last weekend at the Guthrie, Vanya launches into a mesmerizing lament for the past and rant about the present. I wish I'd timed it. I wish I'd broken the rules and recorded it. I want to go back and hear it again.

The play runs through Aug. 31.

4. Listen to the blues at Duluth's Bayfront Blues Festival

This weekend marks the 26th year for the festival that has hosted nearly 500 artists from Blues Traveler to Buddy Guy.

This year's line up includes Sonny Knight & the Lakers and Los Lonely Boys.

5. Eat garlic ice cream

The 9th annual Minnesota Garlic Festival is this Saturday in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

It's from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there will be garlic ice cream.

From the festival's website:

Minnesota garlic growers will have the first of their fresh 2014 gourmet garlic crop at the festival, and it can keep in your kitchen for up to a year!

There are over 100 varieties of the country's finest garlic grown here, all planted in October, harvested in July, and cured to perfection just in time for the festival.

Other than the great taste, it is well documented that garlic is one of the healthiest foods you can eat.
