The University of Minnesota's police department said Wednesday it is no longer investigating the reported rape of a student as a sexual assault by a stranger.
A woman in Sanford Hall on the East Bank told police she was raped early Sunday morning by two men, one of whom had a knife.
According to a campus Public Safety Update, the U said it has "found no immediate and on-going threat to public safety related to the case."
The U of M said it "will continue to review any additional information as it becomes available and support the student who filed the report."
