Wednesday night, the Rolling Stones will perform at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. For at least part of the show, Mick, Keith and the guys will be joined on stage by 24 members of the Minneapolis-based choral group VocalEssence.
The choir has been sworn to secrecy about its role in the performance, but based on what has happened elsewhere on the tour, it's fair to assume that it will be singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
Ben Henry-Moreland, who graduated from St. Olaf with a degree in vocal performance, had a similar opportunity in Boston a couple of years ago. He was singing with a church group that was invited by the Stones to sing with them at TD Bank Garden.
Henry-Moreland talked about the experience with Morning Edition producer Jim Bickal.
