Two people suspected in the Aug. 5 robbery of a 90-year-old woman near Lake Nokomis have been arrested after police sought the public's help in the case.
Minneapolis police on Monday confirmed that the two wanted in the robbery are in custody.
Authorities allege the pair confronted the woman in the area around the 3100 block of 51st Street E., near Lake Nokomis, and threatened to shoot her if she did not give them her purse.
On Thursday, police posted photos and asked for the public's help.
Officers on Monday said they were flooded with "calls from people who could identify the two suspects. Within the first few hours, we had numerous tips, all identifying the two suspects by name."
