Ramsey County prosecutors have charged the alleged shooter of a 24-year-old woman on the east side of St. Paul earlier this month, the county attorney's office said Monday.
Albert George McIntosh, 30, faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Sarah Wierstad. He joins two others charged last week.
McIntosh, who went by the street name "AB," was arrested last Thursday and denied any connection to the shooting or the others involved. He was identified in a photo lineup by one of the other men charged last week.
McIntosh has five prior felony convictions, including three motor vehicle thefts, an attempted burglary involving a firearm and burglary in the second degree.
The men randomly selected Sarah Wierstad's apartment in hopes of finding money, according to the criminal complaint.
Wierstad returned home from work to find the men. Court documents say Isiah Lee Harper, 26, of Minneapolis told investigators he heard McIntosh saying, "Stay back. Stop following us," then fired four to five shots.
Harper and Alvin Rudolph Bell, 24, also have been charged in connection with Wierstad's death. Bell was the first charged. Police arrested him after he allegedly used one of Wierstad's credit cards at a Minneapolis gas station.
