Political scientist Jennifer Lawless of American University has studied the views of young people, who report that they think politics and public service is pointless and unpleasant, not noble and fulfilling. She spoke at the Westminster Town Hall Forum in Minneapolis on October 29, 2015 about her new book, "Running From Office: Why Young People Are Turned Off to Politics."
