This week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a Republican-sponsored bill that would restrict the ability of Syrian and Iraqi refugees to resettle in the United States.
Nearly all of Minnesota's representatives voted for the bill, including three Democrats. Rep. Betty McCollum voted against the bill and Rep. Keith Ellison did not vote at all.
Rep. John Kline, a Republican representing Minnesota's 2nd District, joined MPR News' Tom Crann to discuss his concerns over the current vetting process for refugees.
