The head of one of Minnesota's two medical marijuana providers is leaving the company, just eight months after jumping to the company from his oversight role with the Minnesota Department of Health.

LeafLine Labs announced in a news release Friday that Manny Munson-Regala had resigned. LeafLine said Munson-Regala would continue as an adviser but gave no reason for the departure.

The company said Andrew Bachman would take over as interim chief executive.

Munson-Regala helped launch Minnesota's medical marijuana program after it was legalized by the state in 2014. He resigned last June to join LeafLine.
