Historian Jon Meacham gave an Aspen Lecture titled, "Thomas Jefferson Then and Now: The Legacy and Lessons of an American Original."

He says Thomas Jefferson was brilliant and monumental, flawed and human, and a man who was in tune with the broader culture of his time.

Meacham is the author of "Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power." He spoke at the Aspen Ideas Festival June 29, 2015.
