Police: St. Paul teacher hit by student while breaking up fight

Another St. Paul Public Schools teacher was hit by a student earlier this month, St. Paul police say.
A Johnson High School teacher was breaking up a fight when a student hit him in the back of the head, according to a police spokesman. A police report filed Friday did not specify whether the teacher was injured.
The St. Paul school district said in a statement that the incident happened March 4, and a police report was filed a week later.
No charges have been filed. The district says the police are investigating.
The incident is the latest in a number of violent incidents in St. Paul schools. Last week, two students allegedly punched a Como Park High School teacher. In December, a student choked a Central High School teacher until he blacked out.
