Both directions of Interstate 35W will close this weekend between Interstate 694 and the west junction of I-35W and U.S. Highway 10 on the border of Arden Hills and Mounds View, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.
Crews will be demolishing the County Road H bridge that crosses I-35W. The bridge and ramps there closed last month.
Motorists will begin seeing lane closures on the interstate beginning at 9 p.m. Friday; it will close in both directions at 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday.

• Northbound I-35W: East on I-694 and north on Interstate 35E.
• Southbound I-35W (north of the I-35E/I-35W split in Columbus): South on I-35E and west on I-694.
• Southbound I-35 (south of the I-35E/I-35W split): West on Highway 10, south on Minnesota Highway 65/Central Avenue and east on County Road 10.
The new County Road H bridge, when completed this fall, will be wider and improve safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.
