There's no easy way to say this: It's going to be messy this weekend for motorists in the Twin Cities.

So take a deep breath, maybe scream a little or shake your fist at your computer and read on for a glimpse of this weekend's traffic conditions.

Minnesota Highway 100, St. Louis Park

From 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday, northbound Hwy. 100 between Minnesota Highway 62 and Interstate 394 will be closed.

Heads up: On Aug. 12-13, the southbound portion will close.

Minnesota Highway 280, St. Paul and Lauderdale

Southbound Hwy. 280 between Broadway Street and Como Avenue goes down to a single lane beginning at 3 p.m. Friday for resurfacing.

That's just a preview of the bigger headache that begins at 10 p.m. Friday, when southbound Hwy. 280 closes between Interstate 35W and Como Avenue.

The road will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

Another heads up: Northbound Hwy. 280 will close for resurfacing between Broadway Street and Como Avenue next weekend.

Interstate 35E, St. Paul

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, I-35E will be closed in both directions between Interstate 94 and Shepard Road.

Also, from 10 p.m. Friday through noon Saturday, northbound I-35E will close between Minnesota Highway 110 and Shepard Road.
