U.S. Bank Stadium now has two concerts under its belt.
Country star Luke Bryan performed Friday night to officially kick things off. Then on Saturday, Metallica delivered what was by all accounts a forceful show. Some said they could hear the music from miles away in Minneapolis.
Dan Nass, a digital music producer at MPR, joined Cathy Wurzer to talk about his experience at the show. He says Metallica rocked, but the acoustics? Not great.
Here's an excerpt from his review on The Current's blog:
As far as the acoustics, well ... U.S. Bank Stadium will be a great place to see a football game. It's not near as bad as the Metrodome was, and not as bad as Target Center can be. But there were times that the music was semi-unrecognizable, thundering sludge.
