Authorities have identified two people who died in a police chase south of the Twin Cities.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the chase started in Apple Valley on Monday night and ended in a crash in Burnsville, and both the fleeing driver and another motorist were killed.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office identified the driver as 22-year-old Matthew Vogel, of Bloomington, and the other motorist as 39-year-old Aida Leticia Sevilla Ocampo, of Burnsville.
Xcel Energy says the crash toppled two power poles, cutting electricity to more than 300 customers in the immediate area. Power was restored several hours later.
