We continue our every-other-day pattern of rain and sun. Sunshine is back Friday with pleasant temperatures. More showers are possible Friday night into Saturday before things brighten back up Sunday. 

The sun is back Friday before more rain returns

We’re on the sunshine side of things Friday. Temperatures will warm well into the 60s to even near 70 degrees in parts of southern Minnesota, slightly above normal for most.

Clouds will increase later in the day with a few showers possible in far western Minnesota by Friday evening.

That broken area of scattered, mainly light, showers will spread east overnight into Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon will mostly be dry with just a few pop-up, instability-driven showers in northern Minnesota.

Sunday looks beautiful with sunshine and light winds thanks to high pressure that will be centered over Minnesota. Highs will be near 70 south to 60s north.

Monday will be warmer ahead of the next thunderstorm chance. Sun will give way to increasing afternoon cloud cover.

The next chance of storms develops Monday night into early Tuesday.

How strong those storms become will depend on how far north higher dew points can reach. Right now The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center is watching mostly Nebraska through Kansas and Oklahoma.
