Good morning! Sunny, with highs in the 70s to 80s. Cooler up north. Speaking of which, something odd happened on the shore of Lake Superior Sunday: The temperature dropped 27 degrees in just 21 minutes. Why? Answer: Because Duluth is in Minnesota and in Minnesota, that's just how the weather is. Just kidding (well, it's sort of true, isn't it?) -- what actually happened was a cold front was wiggling through northeastern Minnesota and the winds shifted from west to northeast. When winds shift and start to come in off of the lake, temps can take a big drop in Duluth and along the north shore of Lake Superior. | Forecast | Updraft weather blog
