But men are often the focus when it comes to research and talking about risks.
Two Minnesota cardiologists join join MPR News guest host Marianne Combs on the program to talk about gender disparities and what women need to know about their heart health.

Dr. Elizabeth Grey is a cardiologist at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and researcher at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation.
Dr. Kimara March is a cardiologist at M Health Fairview and adjunct professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
