Gov. Tim Walz said Tuesday that the state is launching a broad investigation into the civil rights record of the Minneapolis Police Department following the killing of George Floyd. The agency intends to probe the last 10 years of Minneapolis police actions and practices for patterns of discrimination against people of color.
