Gathering with friends and family this year has been limited to time outdoors or in online meetings, but  people are still finding creative ways to bond over food.

Food is a connection point for people feeling isolated during the pandemic: Families have cooked traditional dishes over Zoom, and friends have connected over group chats about their sourdough starter.

Thursday, chef and restaurateur Ann Kim joined host Kerri Miller for a conversation about finding comfort in food during an uncomfortable year - and listeners shared dishes that make them feel that warm, familial connection.

Guest:

  • Ann Kim is a chef and owner of Pizzeria Lola, Young Joni, Hello Pizza and Sooki & Mimi.
