The race to get vaccinated is on full speed as Minnesotans look forward to warm summer weather as a reprieve from months of pandemic restrictions.

While the vaccination effort means Minnesota may dodge a severe swell in cases compared to fall, Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm warns the pandemic isn’t over yet. And daily coronavirus data suggests Minnesotans should heed caution.

With new, more contagious and likely more severe variants taking hold, on top of the recently expanded eligibility to everyone 16 and older, people are scrambling to book appointments and many are frustrated.

Do you have questions about where to find a vaccine? Have you had success booking vaccine appointments online? Have you been turned away for lack of ID?

Monday, MPR News guest host Catharine Richert, a physician and a vaccine volunteer booking specialist, answered your questions about where to find vaccine appointments and what you need to get fully vaccinated.

Guests:

  • Dr. David Hilden is vice president of medical affairs at Hennepin Healthcare.

  • Winnie Williams is co-founder of MN Vaccine Hunters.
