Big Brothers Big Sisters is recognized across the country for its work in youth mentoring, and the Twin Cities chapter is the fourth largest in the nation. Since 2015, it has doubled the number of young people it serves.
Pat Sukhum was recently hired as the organization’s new CEO and will start work in June. He got involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters in 1998 when he became a Big Brother in Minneapolis. He says the experience changed his life, and he later joined the organization’s board of directors.
Host Angela Davis spoke with Sukhum about the importance of mentoring and his vision for the organization.
