How St. Paul parents view this year's school board election

School board races are getting heated across the country, thanks to differing opinions on COVID-19 precautions and how educators teach about race and racism in the classroom.

But in St. Paul, those issues aren’t even in the top three issues the school board candidates are raising. That’s because the families in that district have different priorities.

Minnesota Now host Cathy Wurzer got the story from Becky Dernbach, a reporter with Sahan Journal, a digital news organization that serves immigrants and people of color in Minnesota.
