Joe Whitcomb, a Princeton, Minn. native, has been using Facebook Live to share what’s been happening around his home in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Hours after ceasefire talks between Ukraine and Russian officials, Whitcomb connected with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer via cellphone from his home near the Swiss Embassy.
During their nearly 12-minute conversation, Whitcomb said the lights in his home had started flickering for the first time since the invasion began and at around 8:13 p.m. Eastern European Standard Time, more sirens started going off around the Ukrainian capitol.
