Have you been watching reality TV during the pandemic? If you answered yes, you aren’t alone. “Tiger King,” “Love Is Blind” and “The Bachelor” are just a few of the reality shows that captured audiences’ attention in the past few years. And new reality shows launch so often it can be hard to keep up with what’s trending.
Reality TV has been fascinating viewers since “Candid Camera” debuted in 1948. And they are big moneymakers for networks — the shows often have low production costs but reach millions of viewers.
Host Angela Davis talks all about reality TV, why we love it and what that says about us.
