More than four hundred mental health workers at three Twin Cities hospitals will begin a 24 hour strike to protest dangerous working conditions and low wages on May 24. The strike comes after the Fairview and M Health Allina union didn’t reach a deal on their first labor agreements. They’ll be on the picket line outside Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and the Allina Health Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus in Fridley. Kellie Benson is a senior mental health coordinator at Allina Abbott Northwestern hospital. She joined host Cathy Wurzer to talk more.
