Heavy snow, along with some freezing rain, and even some reports of thunder and lightning, continues across much of southern Minnesota in the first round of a multi-part winter storm. By the time it's done, snow totals could exceed a foot in parts of southwestern Minnesota and 5 to 10 inches in the Twin Cities.
