Most of Minnesota will be hot, but also smoky in some places, too. There's another air quality alert for northwest and west central Minnesota with smoke seeping into northwestern Minnesota this morning and moving into southern Minnesota Tuesday night.
Tuesday is the first day of school for most districts. Other schools started before Labor Day. Minneapolis and St. Paul schools sent out reminders Monday, encouraging parents to make sure their kids are hydrated and are dressed for the heat.
