The family of a man shot and killed last summer by a Minnesota state trooper are criticizing the decision to drop murder and manslaughter charges against the officer.
And the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the White Earth Nation have signed an agreement to expand tribal access to the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. About half of the 42,000-acre refuge north of Detroit Lakes is located inside the White Earth Reservation. Federal and Tribal conservation officials will work together to manage wild rice beds in the refuge.
