Drivers in the northeast metro will have a major road closure to contend with this weekend as southbound I-35E will be closed from the I-35 split in the north metro to I-694. It begins at 10 p.m. Friday and will reopen Monday 5 a.m.
And the Minneapolis City Council has approved a $275,000 settlement with a man who alleged he was choked and punched by a police officer in 2020.
