Parts of Minnesota report more than a half-foot of snowfall. Federal grand jury indicts 3 women for fraud

Parts of Minnesota got more than a half-foot of snow this week. There were reports of 7 inches at Kellogg and New Prague in southern Minnesota, as well as at Holt in the northwest. More than 5 inches fell in St. Paul.

A federal grand jury has indicted three Minnesota women on charges that they defrauded Medicaid by overbilling for substance abuse treatment services.

And for the first time as St. Paul Mayor, Melvin Carter used his line-item veto power to cut several items from the 2025 budget passed by the city council last week. But, at a special meeting Thursday, the council voted to override all five of Carter's vetoes.
