Hallberg's Picture of Health: Syphilis on the rise again

At the end of the 1990s, there was talk of eradicating it.

Now, syphilis is on the rise again, according to new guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

Dr. Jon Hallberg joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann to discuss the guidelines and the state of syphilis in 2016.

They talk about how medical professional screen for the disease, reasons behind the recent rise in cases and more.
