Pulitzer Prize-winning Newsweek columnist Anna Quindlen has written a new novel. "Rise and Shine" is the story of two sisters in New York City.

Meghan Fitz-maurice is host of the Rise and Shine show and she's "the most famous woman on television." Bridget Fitz-maurice is a social worker who sometimes basks in the reflected light of her sister's glory, and sometimes is eclipsed in her shadow.

When Meghan loses her job and her husband, Bridget is left to pick up the broken pieces and try to understand if they'll fit back together.

Anna Quindlen talked about the book with Minnesota Public Radio's John Birge.
