The word "interim" will be removed from the title of Tim Dolan when he is officially sworn in as Minneapolis Police Chief later today.

Dolan will lead a department that saw a sharp rise in violent crime last year, and three murders already this year.

Chief Dolan says murders get a lot of publicity, but aren't the best way to gauge overall safety in the city.
