New loopholes in recruiting college athletes

Next Wednesday is National Signing Day, the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding Letter of Intent to play football at a particular college.

Since he was named head coach of the Gopher football team earlier this month, Tim Brewster has been busy trying to convince some highly regarded prospects to sign on with the University of Minnesota.

A lot has changed in the techniques of recruiting since Brewster last worked for a college five years ago.
