As an Iranian now living in the United States, Davar Ardalan has faced challenges trying to bridge the cultures of her two homelands. Ardalan has written a new book, "My Name is Iran," which traces her life in both countries.
In 2004 she produced the radio series "My Name Is Iran," which recounts the experiences of her own family in Iran.
Ardalan's new book of the same name is based on that series. It traces her life in America and Iran and the challenges she has encountered living in two different worlds.
Ardalan speaks at the Westminster Town Hall Forum Thursday. Her speech is titled "Beloved Homelands: Iran and America."
