Residents of Cedar Rapids, Iowa are waking up to good news on the front page. Their own Zach Johnson has won the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Johnson, 31, describes himself as "just a Midwestern guy from Iowa." He used to play at Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids, and played college golf at Drake University where he was the second-best golfer on the team.
But, Johnson was able to get enough support from a group of investors to get his professional golf career off the ground back in the late 1990s.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with Craig Hotchkiss, one of Johnson's early investors.
