Minnesota Twins first baseman and reigning American League Most Valuable Player Justin Morneau is featured in a new book called "Before the Glory: 20 Baseball Heroes Talk About Growing Up and Turning Hard Times into Home Runs."

Each chapter highlights a former or current player talking about their childhood and some of the challenges they faced growing up.

"Before the Glory" is designed to show young readers, who may be facing difficult situations in their lives, that famous athletes had similar life experiences.

In the case of Justin Morneau, his story talks about how he coped with the divorce of his parents. MPR's Jim Bickal stopped by the Metrodome and asked Morneau about his childhood and the book.
