Nicky's husband Jason was one of 2,600 members of the Minnesota National Guard deployed to Iraq for more than a year.  He's a member of Minnesota's 1st Brigade, 34th Infantry Division.  

Nicky has been at home with their 5-year-old daugher, Kirsten.

Nicky is also in the Guard, although she's in a different unit.  She recently left her daughter with her parents in order to attend her annual training (AT).  While there, she was anticipating her husband's imminent return from Iraq.  We asked her to record her thoughts.
