Tom Fisher, dean of the University of Minnesota College of Design, has some good things to say about the design of the new 35W bridge. He says the design is simple and sleek with the river as the visual focus.
Fisher also says he believes the bridge will not only memorialize the lives lost in the collapse, but will be the beginning of a new approach to infrastructure across the nation.
He spoke with MPR's Cathy Wurzer.
