Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson testified Wednesday in support of a cell phone consumer protection bill sponsored by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, DFL-Minn. Swanson spoke before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee in Washington, D.C.
The bill would allow people to cancel their cell phone contracts without paying early termination fees. It would also require that phone companies make contracts clear and easy to understand.
Sen. Klobuchar joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann from Washington, D.C. to talk about her cell phone consumer protection bill.
