Retailer Macy's plans to cut around 270 jobs in the Midwest, including about 100 in the Minneapolis region. The company announced its plans after a disappointing holiday season. Macy's has struggled with sales figures ever since it changed many department stores, including some Marshall Field's in the Twin Cities, to the Macy's name. Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer talked with Howard Davidowitz, the chairman of a retail consulting and investment banking firm in New York.
