The state's junior U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar is still not saying whether she supports Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama for president.
Amy Klobuchar is one of three Democratic super-delegates from Minnesota who has not endorsed a presidential candidate. The other two are Congressman Collin Peterson and Democratic National Committee member Nancy Larson.
Klobuchar said half the Democrats in the U.S. Senate still have not made an endorsement, because they respect both their fellow senators fighting for the nomination.
"I think part of it is that because I'm the Democratic leader in the state, it was my hope to come in at a time where I could really bring our party together. That might not be possible anymore, but we can always hope, and that's what I'm doing," said Klobuchar.
Klobuchar has said she won't go the entire summer without making an endorsement.
She adds she hopes the nomination is settled before this summer's party convention in Denver.
