Minnesota was near the middle of the pack, among all states, in home foreclosure rates during the first quarter of the year.
Daren Blomquist, with the research firm RealtyTrac, says Minnesota's foreclosure rate rose 10 percent over the previous quarter. He says it was up 72 percent from the first quarter of 2007.
"The foreclosure activity was up in the state, although the state continues relatively speaking to have a foreclosure rate that's below the national average. We ranked at number 29 among the states in terms of foreclosure rates," said Blomquist.
Blomquist says Wright County still leads all Minnesota counties in foreclosure rates in recent months.
