A new book by a Minnesota journalist takes readers into the world of TV ratings and murder investigations. "Stalking Susan" is a fictional thriller written by former WCCO-TV investigative producer Julie Kramer. The book tells the story of a feisty reporter turned amateur detective, who discovers that a serial killer is targeting women named Susan.
The book is based on two real-life homicides that Kramer covered here in the Twin Cities. Two women named Susan were killed, and their murders were never solved. Kramer told MPR's Cathy Wurzer those are the kinds of cases that stick with her.
