Michael Gerson, who served as a former speechwriter and top aide to President Bush, says that while 75 percent of evangelical voters cast their ballots for President Bush in 2004, Republicans can't count on the same kind of support from religious conservatives in this presidential election.
Gerson recently discussed what he calls the "new evangelicalism" at the Chautauqua Institution.
