Newly elected members of the University Minnesota Board of Regents will be sworn in today.
Three U of M Regents, Patricia Simmons, Clyde Allen and John Frobenius will return to their seats on the Board of Regents.
The only first time member is Richard Beeson, CEO of Park Midway Bank in St. Paul's St. Anthony Park neighborhood.
Last week a joint House-Senate committee voted to seat the four members.
John Frobenius, a retired health care administrator, was actually passed over for his position in an earlier decision by the Regents Candidate Advisory Council.
However, the legislative committee overturned that decision, and decided instead to keep Frobenius on the board to maintain consistency.
