This is the forecast that I have been tracking from the North Central River Forecast Center. It was last updated with the green line forecast late this morning. Note the projected crest of 41 feet on Saturday.

Hydrologists tweak the model output with their expertise to fine tune the prediction. We have reached the lower extent of their original 39 to 41 foot crest at Fargo. Moisture is still locked in snow and ice. Any thawing due to sunshine on Friday afternoon and Saturday is likely already added to the forecasters projection.
